My ex named his baby after me – it’s so obvious as my name’s not common but the mum has NO idea how bad it really is

SOME baby names are like Marmite – you either love them or hate them.

But one woman has told of her horror after finding out her ex named his baby after her – and that’s not even the worst of it.

The anonymous woman, from Australia, took to the Tea Time Facebook group and penned: “My ex had a baby…. just found out he’s named her the same name as me.”

While she didn’t expand any more in the caption, the comments section blew up, with intrigued social media users desperate to know more.

And luckily, the woman was on hand to shed some further light on the unusual scenario, before dropping another bombshell.

She added: “I don’t think the baby’s mum knows about my existence now, despite him being with me for four years.

“We were engaged too! My name is not that common, which makes it weirder. It’s Freya.”

Unsurprisingly, people couldn’t wait to express their views on the matter.

“That’s messy,” wrote one person, according to Kidspot. “My heart would break if I found out my husband did this.”

A second commented: “He’s gonna be constantly reminded of you for the rest of his life now hahaha.”

“The fact guys think they can get away with this is wild,” a third chimed in.

Meanwhile, a further told how it’s “weird on so many levels,” while another added: “OMFG, I’d be spewing.”

However, there were some people who took a rather different perspective and didn’t see a problem with the ex’s choice of baby name.

“Maybe his wife suggested it, and he just didn’t speak up,” one person suggested.

“Or he told her he had an ex called Freya, and she said she didn’t care.”

Another chimed in: “Am I the only one that doesn’t think it’s a big deal? It’s just a name.”
