When it came down to the judging, Sam and Deni got one vote each, with a third vote deciding the result.
Judge Paul Mercurio broke the tie, picking Deni and Lyu to stay on the show, leaving Sam in the dust.
However the television star was in good spirits after his loss, cracking jokes as he made his exit speech.

He joked that his elimination was akin to his co-star Ricki-Lee Coulter being voted out from Australian Idol in seventh place.
Sam then went on pay tribute to his dance partner Ruby, saying, ‘I just want to say thank you to Ruby, throughout this whole experience.’
He added: ‘It’s been a really fun time. And if we made people smile that’s what it’s all about’.

It comes after the salaries of the show’s stars were revealed by Woman’s Day magazine.
Sam Mac, 40, is rumoured to be earning $80,000 alongside pop star Ricki-Lee Coulter, 36.
The Morning Show’s Kylie Gillies, 54, is reported to pocket a tidy $100,000, while actress Olympia Valance, 29, model Kris Smith, 43, and former AFL star David Rodan, 38, are estimated to walk away with the lowest figure of $25,000.
