Kerry Katona slams Piers Morgan's interview as 'biggest car crash' since This Morning chat

Kerry Katona has labelled Piers Morgan‘s interview with Baby Reindeer‘s “real life Martha” the “biggest car crash I have ever seen since I was on This Morning”.

Piers spoke to Scottish lawyer, Fiona Harvey, on his Uncensored show. She is believed to have inspired Richard Gadd’s Netflix show, which has been praised by critics. It details a comedian playing a fictional version of himself who gets stalked by a woman he met in a pub

Speaking to Piers, Ms Harvey claimed that she was never friends with Mr Gadd and alleged she “brushed him off” when he “asked [her] to sleep with him”.

The conversation has since gone viral online, with Kerry wading in and having her say on the controversial interview. The Atomic Kitten star uploaded a video of herself watching the chat along with the caption: “@piersmorgan #babyraindeer wtf! Worse interview since I was on This Morning! So many inconsistencies!”

Express.co.uk have contacted ITV for comment.

Kerry appeared on This Morning 15 years ago and was interviewed by former hosts Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield.

During her interview, Kerry sparked concern with viewers who accused her of being drunk. However, she later shared this was a result of her medication for bipolar disorder.

In the aftermath of her chat on the ITV show, Kerry reflected on how the interview made her feel. She confessed on Slingo’s Getting Lippy Gossip Show: “After my This Morning interview you thought I’d killed somebody and I’m just like I don’t understand what it is I’ve done so wrong?

“I’ve had speech therapy and I’ve got a lazy tongue and with my ADHD and way I talk sometimes I don’t pronounce the words properly. Then you put in the medication I was on and your speech is slurred and it’s like, ‘Oh she’s this, she’s that’.”

Following the success of the show Baby Reindeer, fans have tried to uncover the true identity behind the stalker “Martha”. Although the series is based on real life events, Richard Gadd changed the names of individuals in the series to protect their real identities.

Sharing the announcement of the interview on X, Piers said: “*WORLD EXCLUSIVE* The real-life Martha from Baby Reindeer breaks cover and gives me her first TV interview about the smash hit Netflix show. Fiona Harvey wants to have her say and ‘set the record straight’.”

Baby Reindeer can be streamed now on Netflix.
