Sadio Mane sends message to Liverpool fans amid links of mega Real Madrid transfer

The Reds winger has been in sparkling form this season, netting 21 goals in all competitions.

And Mane will look to impress again tonight as Liverpool face Porto in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash.

The Reds are 2-0 up on aggregate after an impressive win last week at Anfield.

“Of course I want to be a legend not only for Liverpool but also in the Premier League story and that is one of my targets. I will do everything possible to achieve everything possible,” Mane explained to LFC magazine.

“Reaching 100 games means a lot to me.

“To play this many games for a club like Liverpool is incredible.

“Like I have always said, I am very happy to play for this club and every single day I am enjoying being here and trying to do everything to win something for this club.”

Mane has also opened up on what it is like playing for Jurgen Klopp.

He believes the close bond the manager has with his squad makes playing for Liverpool a unique experience.

Mane explained: “He loves all his players and is very close to his players too.

“He also demands a lot but he never puts pressure on us other than asking the best of us.

“He only asks you to do your best in whatever you are doing and also to enjoy it.

“I think that’s important because, under him, everybody has progressed a lot as everyone can see.

“It’s very important for us to work with him for more years.”

Liverpool are still battling on two fronts this season.

A win against Porto tonight sets up a Champions League semi-final with Barcelona.

And the Reds are also fighting with Manchester City for their first Premier League win in almost 30 years.

Liverpool return to top flight action on Sunday when they face relegation-threatened Cardiff (4pm).
