Olly Murs: 'Sack us' The Voice UK coach owns up to making big mistake on show

Olly Murs, 35, has admitted to making a mistake in not turning his chair for 27-year-old Sheffield labourer Adam Howarth, who performed an original song on tonight’s episode of The Voice UK.

Adam sang his own track Losing Man after explaining he applied for the ITV singing competition in the hope to provide a better life for his daughter and three step-children.

He only made one small mistake during the performance in the first round of Blind Auditions, when he struggled to make one particularly high note.

Olly, who is a coach on the ITV show, took to Twitter to share his regret over not selecting the former contestant.

The former X Factor star went so far as to say he and his fellow coaches will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Meghan Trainor should be “sacked” for their bad decision.

The Dance with Me Tonight hitmaker shared a Gif of himself falling forwards with a shocked expression on his face when he made the admission in view of his 7.3 million followers.

He captioned the tweet: “Sack us!! He was sooooooo good!

“What a bunch of lemons.”

Fans took to the comments section of Olly’s tweet to share their thoughts about his mishap.

One person said: “He was brilliant!! And that song was [OK hand sign emoji] can he not be given a second chance!?!”

Another viewer added: “He would of been so good for your team!!!!”

A third fan commented: “Especially as he wrote that song, you muppets.”
