YVETTE Fielding has released a ten-word tribute to her former Most Haunted co-star Derek Acorah.
The 51-year-old, who once shared an on-screen partnership with the medium between 2002 and 2005, issued the message via her agent.
The statement read: “Our condolences are with Derek’s family at this time. Yvette and Karl.”
The message was signed off by her husband Karl Beattie, who also worked on the hit show.
The pair visited some of Britain’s most haunted locations in the name of working out whether ghosts were real.
Derek worked as the lead medium during their time together on the show.
Yvette and Derek created some of the show’s most memorable scenes, including the psychic being possessed by a monkey, and by a saucy female spirit named Mary.
However, she slammed the TV psychic when he was booted from the programme after revelations that he had been dishonest about being possessed by spirits, saying: “We tell people everything is real, then it turns out he was a fake, so he had to go.”
Derek had claimed to be possessed by two made-up people who were suggested to him by others working on the show.
Yvette’s statement comes hours after it was announced Derek had passed away in intensive care.
The 69-year-old self-styled medium passed away last night, his wife Gwen confirmed.
She told SunOnline: “He was taken really quickly. It was pneumonia which got him in the end.
“He developed sepsis and was in intensive care. I’m heartbroken to have lost him.
“It’s devastating that’s he’s gone.”
In a Facebook tribute this morning she wrote: “Farewell my love! I will miss you forever!”
Gwen, who was married to Derek 24 years, also claimed her her husband had been bullied by jealous psychics in the weeks before his death.
She said: “It’s been going on for a while.
“They were just jealous of Derek and wanted his status.”
It came after she blasted the “vile” mystery couple on Facebook.
She wrote: “To the vile couple who hounded him for responses to their ridiculous campaign whilst he was in Intensive Care in a coma, I hope you have the decency to hang your heads in shame.
“I have things to deal with now but I won’t forget nor will I forgive what you have done!”
