If some Covid restrictions are still in place you might find your child’s school has been forced to cancel their usual Halloween festivities and so it might be down to mum and dad to do the spooky party planning.
And while you might have costumes, decorations and food covered – every great shindig needs a party playlist.
Whether it’s old school classics or modern day bops, we have got the top 20 Halloween party songs as rated by Spotify users.
Our friends at Digital Loft discovered out of 30,000 songs, the world’s favourite spooky song is Bobby Pickett’s Monster Mash, which appeared in 104 Spotify playlists.
Number two on the list is no surprise, from the King of Pop himself, the late Michael Jackson ‘s Thriller which has cemented itself as a Halloween favourite for more than 35 years thanks to its record-breaking scary mini movie of the same name.
As well as the oldies, there are some more recent hits in the mix too with Rihanna’s 2007 hit Disturbia coming in at number 9 and the song from cult classic tv show Stranger Things by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein at number 14, not to mention Bury a Friend by Billie Elish.
