Tinashe gets decked out in white and blue to sing national anthem at Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game

Tinashe headed out to the ballgame on Sunday afternoon to sing the national anthem for America’s national pastime.

The 26-year-old Lexington, Kentucky native and Los Angeles resident rocked her Dodger blue at Dodger Stadium for Sunday’s game against the New York Yankees. 

She has sung the national anthem several times for the Dodgers in the past, most recently belting it out in May 2018.

The singer wore a white Dodgers home jersey with the number 0, along with slightly-ripped light blue jeans.

She also wore large gold hoop earrings and a number of rings as she took to the field and posed for photographs from the Dodgers dugout.

She was also seen in a brief Instagram Story video from the Los Angeles Dodgers where she revealed how excited she was for the game.

‘What’s up Dodger fans? I’m Tinashe and I’m so excited to sing the national anthem for you today. Let’s go Dodgers! Woo hoo!,’ Tinashe said in the video clip.

She also shared a brief boomerang video on Twitter and Instagram that showed her swinging a bat in the dugout.

The singer actually started her career as an actress, landing roles in several movies and TV shows before she joined the girl group The Stunners in 2007.

Tinashe joined singers Vitamin C, Hayley Kiyoko, Marisol Espara, Allie Gonino and Kelsey Sanders in the group, which found success quickly. 

The group performed as the opening act for Justin Bieber’s My World Tour in 2010, but the group disbanded in 2011, leading Tinashe to go solo.

She released her first solo album, Aquarius, in 2014, followed by 2016’s Nightride and her 2018 album Joyride.

She also appeared in an episode of The CW’s Who’s Line Is It Anyway, and she has also been featured in a pair of 2017 episodes of Fox’s Empire.

She has also directed a number of her own music videos, including 2015’s Party Favors and Aquarius Season.
