It’s easy for male stars to rock up to any red carpet in a plain black tux and a crisp white shirt, but it all gets a bit boring.

So let’s all bow down to Timothee Chalamet, who is switching up the menswear game with his perfectly heeled foot on our necks.

The 20-year-old totally slayed Venice Film Festival in a head to toe Haider Ackerman look that was the perfect swirl of masculine and feminine.

Attending the premiere of The King, Timothee wore a statement silk silver blazer with matching trousers and a collarless silk top.

The jacket was belted with two tonal belts while his trousers were upturned to show off black leather boots.

Unsurprisingly, the look, which should probably be spelled *lewk* with fire emojis on either side, sent Timothee fans wild, with one person tweeting: ‘Timothée Chalamet knows this is HIS world and we’re just living in it.’

Meanwhile, Louis Virtel rightly surmised: ‘How Timothee Chalamet manages to be a quintessential 2019 heartthrob AND a 19th century women’s horse racing superstar, I don’t know.’

Timothee has cemented himself as one of the red carpet’s most exciting young stars, particularly after his Golden Globes outfit involving a harness over his shirt.

The Call Me By Your Name star seemed pretty chuffed to be at Venice Film Festival, saying it was ‘a dream come true. I haven’t been here for the festival before. I feel like Lady Gaga on the boat.’

As if we couldn’t love him more, he goes and mentions Gaga’s most extra hour.

Timothee is currently promoting The King, in which he plays Henry V, and while the first reviews from the festival are mixed, many have praised Chalamet’s performance alongside those of Robert Pattinson, Lily Rose Depp and Joel Edgerton.

The King concerns a young prince named Hal (Chalamet), a prince who is heir to the English throne but has turned his back on royal life.

However, after his father, King Henry IV (Ben Mendelsohn), dies, he is quickly crowned King Henry V and has to navigate his life through palace politics and the war that his late father left behind.

The Shakespeare adaptation will hit Netflix on 1 November.
