‘The love of my life, my darling husband Vincent Marzello, died this morning,’ she said on Tuesday. ‘To those who knew him, I am sorry to post the news rather than contact you personally, but I am overwhelmed. My heart is broken.’

Vincent played Lyman Hersh in the 2004 drama Laws Of Attraction with Pierce Brosnan. And starting in 2005 he voiced characters for Bob The Builder.

His most recent credit on IMDB was his voice work in 2017 for The Magical Music Box.

He lives mostly in London with King.

In February King spoke of his condition at Dementia UK.

‘Thinking that the person I loved most in the world might be in pain with no way to relieve it, or that he might not be getting essential medication, took a toll on me emotionally; I felt so helpless,’ she shared.

She also said the dementia was discovered when he went in for cancer treatment.

‘During his cancer treatment, medical professionals were finally observing him very closely and it was clear to them that there was something wrong. ‘”How long has he had dementia?”, they asked – the first time anyone had said that to me – and, as horrifying as it was to hear, it brought a kind of relief, because we had finally named it,’ she said.

King added: ‘We postponed formal diagnosis, because first we had to put out the fire that was right in front of us: the cancer.

‘This involved surgery, a catastrophic complication, more surgeries, months of chemotherapy – a process difficult enough to go through, made even more difficult by the dementia.’
