Strictly Come Dancing fans in 'fix' claims after Max George's shock exit

Strictly Come Dancing fans have fumed after Max George was voted off the show at the weekend.

The Wanted star was the latest celebrity to be booted alongside his professional dancing partner Dianne Buswell on Sunday.

A number of people have claimed that the 32-year-old was shown the exit as a punishment for swearing live on camera the previous day.

Max could be heard shouting “f*****g get in” as he and Dianne received their feedback, reports the Mirror.

Host Claudia Winkleman was forced to apologise to viewers for the slip-up.

Several fans of the boy band member say that he did not deserve to be sent home

One irritated fan typed: “Wrong decision, no way should Max or Maisie be in the bottom two. Did Max get voted off for swearing because he was a great dancer and smashed the feel of each performance. Big loss to the competition.”

A second echoed: “Max definitely got sent home from @bbcstrictly as punishment for accidentally swearing and not actual votes. Strictly is my fave show but I’m getting proper p***ed this year.”

Others joined in as they added: “Sorry but the BBC have 100% rigged that because of Max swearing on last night’s show, and putting him up against Maisie being an unbelievably capable dancer, they knew he had no chance of staying in. They shouldn’t have turned his mic on anyway!”

Another said: “The producers decided Max must leave for swearing. They picked Maisie as the other dance-off partner because she was clearly one of the best. The two judges put Maisie through and Shirley had to say Max to make it look closer than it was. It is fixed.”

The Mirror approached the BBC for comment.

Shortly after dropping the F-bomb on Saturday’s show Max said sorry for turning the air blue in a clip posted to Instagram.

In a video with Dianne, 31, the pair spoke about the evening – and he addressed his blunder.

“I know we are down the bottom end of the leaderboard, but we enjoyed it,” Max said.

“Apologies by the way if I let out a bad word – it was just in the moment.

Max apologised for the on-air slip up

“I do apologise, I really hope I didn’t offend anyone.

“I hope the dance didn’t offend anyone either, so if you liked us please vote for us!”

However, Max’s pleas did not work and he and Dianne surprisingly found themselves in the dance-off.

Speaking after the judges gave their verdict to send them home, Max enthused: “I’ve loved it. It’s all down to Dianne, she’s been literally amazing. For me to get through 90 seconds of a dance for four weeks now is a credit to her, she’s just unbelievable.

“I’ve got to say, all these guys over here are the nicest group of people ever. I love you all!”
