Mel B left fans in shock when she claimed that she had had sex with pal Geri Horner at the height of the Spice Girls fame.

But anyone who is has read Mel’s 2002 memoir will know that the pair regularly enjoyed crazy escapades – including driving down the motorway half naked.

‘Sometimes Geri and I went to bed on Saturday afternoon, woke up around 2am, got dressed up and went to the all-nighter at Ministry Of Sound,’ Mel wrote in her book Catch A Fire.

‘We used to drive down the motorway with our boobs out for a laugh.’

But she shared that although it was all fun and games, things got dicey when one night they ‘noticed a weird-looking guy driving alongside us with a manic grin on his face’ who they believed was masturbating.

‘Suddenly we were scared. It was really frightening. For all we knew he was a complete nutter with an axe,’ Mel wrote.

‘Geri swerved into another lane and eventually we lost him. We were really shaken.’

But in classic Spice Girls fashion, did it stop them flashing their boobs in the future?

Of course not.

Scary Spice dropped the bombshell confession about Geri during an interview on Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.

‘She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact. It just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it,’ she told the host.

‘We were best friends. It just happened. Have you ever done that? Yeah and I’ve said it now. All done.’

Ginger Spice later denied the claims with her reps releasing the statement: ‘It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days.

‘Geri is really grateful for your support and loyalty for so many years. She loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria. She would like you to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.’
