Scooter Braun files for divorce from wife Yael with prenup… after scoring THAT billion dollar deal

Scooter Braun has filed for divorce from wife of seven years Yael Cohen Braun.

Reports the couple had split emerged earlier this month, but Braun made things official on Wednesday via LA courts.

The couple will follow the terms of their prenuptial agreement, likely leaving Scooter with most of his assets along with his burgeoning music empire.

The manager, 40, is well known for working with Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, J Balvin and Ariana Grande. in addition to his high-profile feud with pop star Taylor Swift.

And in April he scored big when sold his company to the agency behind K-pop phenomenon BTS for a whopping $1.05billion.

According to the terms of their prenup, which was drafted by Hollywood divorce super-attorney Laura Wasser, he will pay spousal support to Yael, who is the heir to a South African mining fortune. Documents did not list a date of separation.

It’s likely Wasser – who’s worked with celebrities like or Angelina Jolie, Heidi Klum, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds, Christina Aguilera, and Dr. Dre – crafted Braun an iron-clad agreement securing his sizable fortune.

Scooter, whose real name is Scott, is reportedly worth around $400billion after his company Ithaca Holdings was acquired by HYBE, formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment.

Sources who spoke to TMZ said the situation seemed amicable, also noting that the pair have split and reunited in the past, so reconciliation could be possible.

Earlier this month it was reported the couple, who share three children, were done but were still sharing a home.

‘They are still currently living together, but eventually Scooter will be moving out,’ an insider told Us Weekly at the time, adding that the pair were ‘remaining amicable for the sake of the kids.’

Scooter seemed to signal he was on good terms Yael when he shared a black-and-white snapshot from his and Yael’s wedding to mark their wedding anniversary on July 6th, just weeks ahead of the breakup news.

‘If just for the kids you have given me everything. But thanks to you I have grown, I have been pushed to be the best version of myself and to continue growing and learning,’ he gushed about Yael, who is the co-founder of the organization F*** Cancer, in his caption.

‘That all happened because you came in to my life. 7 years. The adventure is just beginning. Thank you Yael. I love you . Happy anniversary.’

The pair began dating in 2013 and were wed by July 2014 in Whistler, British Columbia at a celebrity-strewn affair where they walked down the aisle as Justin sang All You Need Is Love by the Beatles.

Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were among the couple’s famous wedding guests as was Sophia Bush, according to The Hollywood Reporter

‘Silly as f***’: On a recent episode of The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Erika Jayne denied rumors that she had an affair with Scooter

During an interview with British GQ last year Scooter compared his business affairs to his relationship in the sense that ‘marriage is all about compromise.’

‘The dashing tycoon said: ‘If she’s shutting down on me, then I did something to make her shut down. So we talk through it and we get through it.’

The original breakup news came in the wake of Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne vehemently denying she had an affair with Scooter during an episode of her reality show.

She could be seen dismissing reports that she ‘was seeing my old Dancing with the Stars partner [Gleb Savchenko], and then I was seeing Scooter Braun.’

Deriding the conjecture as being ‘silly as f***’ she insisted: ‘I haven’t seen either one of them in four-and-a-half, five years.’

Erika, 50, filed for divorce from her husband Tom Girardi, 82, last November and has claimed she did so without even warning him.

It seems that Scooter has been doing some soul-searching recently. He reportedly ‘secretly checked into spiritual retreat’ month before deciding to call it quits with Yael.
