SCARLETT Moffatt has hit back at nasty trolls who call her “c**p or fat” and admits she gets upset over negative comments.
The 29-year-old has suffered awful abuse online since becoming famous on Gogglebox and launching a career in showbiz.
Recently she broke down in tears after being sent a letter to her home, which called her “fat” with “a mouth like a pork chop”.
Despite the negativity, Scarlett has always tried to remain resilient – although she admits she’d be like the “Terminator” if she didn’t have days when she “felt bad”.
“I’ve never looked at someone’s photo and thought,’I’m going to write they look c**p or fat’,” she told TV Life Magazine.
“It makes you think, what mindset must they be in to have to do that to make themselves feel better?
“That’s not saying that some days I don’t feel the effect of it. If I’m having a bad day, a message could make me upset or think, ‘I just want it to be tomorrow.'”
In 2016 Scarlett slimmed down to a size eight, dropping six dress sizes and three stone in weight.
But she’s always battled with her weight and made a New Year’s resolution to make “healthy choices” in 2020 by cutting back on the booze and bad food.
In an interview with The Sun Online, Scarlett said she’s determined to feel more confident in herself and doesn’t always feel great when she looks in the mirror.
She said: “I feel I’d be lying to you now if I said ‘wow, I feel great when I look in the mirror.’ Because some days I do and then other days I have a bit of a down day, but I feel that’s every woman.
“I feel it’s probably emphasised because people can read about it, or I have a few more followers than other people so I get a little bit more negativity.”
Meanwhile Scarlett recently celebrated her first anniversary with her policeman boyfriend Scott Dobinson.
She surprised him for their anniversary by whisking him off to Spain earlier this month.
They looked more loved up than ever as they explored Barcelona together hand in hand.
