Richard Madden set to be new face of Calvin Klein

Scots actor Richard Madden is set to be named as the new face of Calvin Klein.

The Bodyguard and Game of Thrones star is the latest big name to land one of the most glamorous and high-profile jobs in the modelling world.

The 33-year-old is due to start a three day photoshoot to promote the company’s range of male fragrances today.

The lake scene for an advert will echo the moment Colin Firth emerged dripping wet from the water as Mr Darcy in the BBC’s 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

The job could be worth millions to Madden, whose portrayal of David Budd in Bodyguard made him a household name and earned him accolades including a Golden Globe award for Best Actor.

Madden’s star has been on the rise since he played Robb Stark in Game of Thrones. Most recently, he starred as Elton John’s long-term manager and lover John Reid in Rocketman.
