The panel show also posted the family picture and asked their followers: “Can you even imagine the debates at the dinner table at Piers Morgan’s house?”

During his appearance on the show he was quizzed about whether he was an embarrassment to his three sons because of his controversial opinions.

He said: “Not at all. They are perfectly entitled to disagree with me and they do often vehemently disagree with me – they have all got their father’s looks.

“I encourage them to speak their own minds, argue with me. But if they are going to argue with me over dinner, they better come armed as I am going to take them down.”

He added: “Why wouldn’t you want your kids to be opinionated?”

Piers had his sons with former wife Marion Shalloe, who he divorced from in 2008.

The Good Morning Britain presenter also has a daughter Elise with his second wife Celia Walden.

Meanwhile, Piers also revealed how he deals with Internet trolls, telling the Loose Women:  “The thing with trolls is, you need to look for a weakness…on twitter I get all this abuse [but] when they can’t spell something, I pounce like a piranha.

“I have six-and-a-half million followers and they have one, who is their mum in their dungeon with them.

“What normally happens is [you see] tweet-deleted, account-deleted and sometimes human-being deleted. You have to take [trolls] on, head on.”
