GOOD Morning Britain will undergo a huge shake-up on Friday as Piers Morgan resumes his role as show anchor.
The 54-year-old often takes every Thursday and Friday off, leaving hosting duties to his ITV colleagues yet revealed this Friday he will be “dragged” in.
Yet with the UK heading to the polls on Thursday, December 12 in a crunch General Election, Piers revealed he’s putting in a bit more graft too.
He told Monday’s ITV show of the huge line-up shake up on the ITV breakfast show, and said: “There’s an Election special, so my weekend will not be starting on Wednesday morning as it normally does.
“I’ve got to be dragged back in here, shocking.”
His co-host Susanna Reid quipped: “It’s not a full week is it? Because you won’t be doing Thursday.”
“No but four days is a real stretch,” he replied.
“But I will do it for you lot, I will do it for the nation.”
Letting out a slight laugh, Susanna added: “I thought you were going to say you would do it for the money, which might be more honest.”
The change in the presenting panel, which would usually see Kate Garraway, Charlotte Hawkins and Ben Shephard host on Friday, came as a delight to loyal viewers.
One gushed: “It’s my birthday on Friday so Piers been on TV will make my day.”
Another put: “We need you on Friday.”
A third then posted: “The one thing that puts Piers head and shoulders above the rest is his straight talking. Wouldn’t miss him for the world.”
On Monday’s show, Piers also told how he would love “a few” Victoria’s Secret models as his Christmas dinner guests.
