PICTURES: Prince William & Kate's luxurious £27,000-a-week Mustique villa holiday

Mustique is a holiday hotspot frequented by celebrities and Royal Family members thanks to its privacy and opulent offering. Princess Margaret was one of the first family members to really fall in love with the destination, however, more recently Prince William and Kate have jetted off to the tropical destination.

The couple most recently visited the Caribbean island, located in the stream of islands of St Vincent and the Grenadines, in 2019 for Prince George’s sixth birthday.

While on the island, the royal couple opted to spend their two-week stay at the stunning Villa Antilles, which was built in 2016.

The villa is owned by property developed Andrew Dunn, who is a friend of Prince William.

A stay at this glamorous property can cost guests as much as £27,000 a week, depending on the time of year.

Prince William and Kate benefitted from a number of additional amenities during their stay, including a dining room with drinks bar and separate air-conditioned study and media room.

The villa also offers a private “powder room” for visitors to the house.

Furthermore, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis also had plenty of things to keep themselves entertained.

When the little ones weren’t splashing in the pool, they may have spent their time playing in the children’s room, complete with bunk beds and sea life wall art.

Whether the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were hosting friends or simply enjoying a family dinner on the terrace, the on-site chef at Villa Antilles promises to craft up a menu fit for all tastes.

The small private island spans 1,400 acres and is completely paparazzi free.

The island’s website states: “Every island visitor is registered with our security team before arriving on island by land, air or sea, whether staff, local islander or guest to ensure the security team know who is on island at any one time”.

On top of this, it also boasts incredible natural surroundings.

It is bursting with stunning white sand trees, crystal clear waters, and is a haven for wildlife.

Princess Margaret: Queen of Mustique is on Channel 5, Saturday at 9pm
