Passengers kick airline worker to the ground after she refused to take second selfie with them

THREE men have been jailed for attacking a female airline worker after she refused to take a second photograph with them.

Le Thi Giang, who works for budget carrier Vietjet Air, had already posed for one photograph with the three men at Tho Xuan Airport in Vietnam when the attack happened last year.

After declining a second selfie with them, explaining she was on duty, the men then launched the attack on her.

Le Van Nhi, 41, Le Trung Dung, 34, and Pham Huu An, 28 were spotted slapping and kicking her.

In the video, Le Thi, dressed in red, is slapped around the face before being kicked to the ground.

An airport manager who witnessed the attack tried to stop the men, and was also slapped in the face by one of the trio.

Two security staff at the airport were attacked when they tried to intervene.

One of Le Thi’s colleagues who was filming the incident on her phone was also threatened by the men.

The trio, who witnesses said were drunk, were eventually subdued by security guards and taken to a local police station where they were charged with public disorder.

Following an investigation, all three have now been jailed at Thanh Hoa Province court – Le Van for three years, Le Trung for two years and 10 months, and Pham Huu for one year and 10 months.

They have also been banned from flying for one year, according to VN Express.

Their sickening attack on the woman provoked a public outcry after it was caught on camera by eyewitnesses.

Security guards at the airport have also been fined for failing to protect Le Thi.

According to VN Express, four security guards were fined £135 each for failing to protect her.

In 2017, VietJet faced a backlash after using bikini-clad flight attendants to promote the airline.

Now known as ‘bikini airline’, flight crew also launched a 2018 calendar with many of the women posing in skimpy swimwear.

Last year, the crew joined Vietnam’s under-23 football squad on a flight home from China – and faced more criticism.
