Ninja ditching Twitch was ‘bad move’ says Dr Disrespect as he claims to know Mixer deal

Dr Disrespect has claimed he knows how much Ninja was paid to move from Twitch to Mixer and that it was a ‘bad move’.

The Fortnite legend ditched Twitch earlier this month, announcing the move to Mixer in an epic press conference video.

Despite him racking up more than a million subscribers already on the site, things haven’t been smooth sailing, with the star – real name Tyler Blevins – hitting out at the platform for ‘promoting porn’ on his old profile, prompting a direct apology from the CEO of Twitch.

Now, fellow streamer Dr Disrespect is claiming that he knows how much Ninja earned from the switch and that it’s a ‘bad move’ on his part.

‘Am I the only one that’s gotta say it?’ he asked in a recent stream. ‘I’m the only one that’s got the guts. It was a bad move. It was. For Ninja it was a bad move. I’m surprised.’

The streamer’s not the first person to speak out on the amount of dosh the 28-year-old raked in with the move, with top YouTuber PewDiePie previously suggesting it was ‘a lot of money.’

‘Ninja’s streaming on Mixer!’ he exclaimed. ‘That’s funny. I saw it in the comments and I didn’t understand. I mean, good for him.’

The 29-year-old recalled: ‘Jack told me yesterday, he was like, “Mixer came to me with a lot of money and then all of a sudden they say no.” Now we know where that money went!’

Tyler announced the move at the beginning of this month, saying in his ‘press conference’ video: ‘I know this may come as a shock to you but, as of today, I will be streaming exclusively on Mixer. I know. It’s exciting,’ he said.

When asked how the move to the Microsoft-owned service would affect his gaming abilities, he replied: ‘It really won’t. It’s the same me, just a different platform.’

He continued: ‘I feel like this is a really good chance to get back in touch with my roots, and really remember why I fell in love with streaming in the first place.’
