Meghan Markle: Duchess of Sussex always packs this very unlikely item when travelling

Meghan Markle has benefited from plenty of enviable trips alongside Prince Harry. But the now-Duchess of Sussex was jet-setting long before she met her husband thanks to her job as a Hollywood actress. During this time Meghan kept a now-defunct blog called The Tig on which she shared tips with her fans. She would let her followers on her travel secrets – and one in particular concerning packing luggage.

Meghan Markle revealed that she packed dryer sheets among her clothes in her baggage.

This is particularly useful for travellers coming back from holiday – and may not have had time for any laundry.

She advises layering the sheets in between all clothes when assembling a suitcase.

“Your clothes will smell fresh when you arrive — and especially when you return home!” she wrote on The Tig.

Meghan has plenty of other tips for what to pack when holidaymakers jet off.

The former actress also recommends bringing a “multi-use” make up stick to multitask beauty regimes.

“Pack your favourite multi-use stick and face spritz for a quick touch up on cheeks, lips, face when you land,” Meghan advised.

Furthermore, the mother-of-one once said in an interview that she has a bottle of tea tree oil with her “all the time.”

This is particularly great when travelling and can be used for multiple purposes – ideal if you need to keep packing to a minimum.

“It’s not the most glamorous thing, but if you get a cut, a mosquito bite, a small breakout, no matter what it is, it’s my little cure-all,” she told Allure magazine in 2014.

“It’s inexpensive, it’s small enough to carry on, and I bring it with me all the time.”

Meghan also likes to travel with a well—worn scarf with her on trips. She explained on The Tig, that it was particularly helpful for making her feel snug.

There’s also the advantage that it can easily be thrown into a bag, making it a convenient comforter.

“This has become invaluable to me when catching some Zzzzzs on a flight, or feeling swaddled in a hotel room,” Meghan wrote on the website.

“Throw it in your purse or backpack, and no matter how far you travel, you will always feel comforted both on and off the plane with something that feels and smells like home.”

Prince Harry’s wife is also an advocate of self-care while you are away travelling.
