A source told The Mirror that Megan decided to break off the romance three months after dating rumours surfaced.
The publication claims that Megan knew dating ex-con Zack – who was sentenced to five years in a young offenders institution for GBH in 2013 – would do nothing to help present herself as a clean-cut pop star.

It comes after Simon Cowell recently hit out at Megan for her outfit choices on the live shows.
The reality star insisted she will ‘stick to her guns’ with her style choices despite Simon, 60, warning her last week: ‘Hate the outfit. This isn’t whatever the Essex thing is.’
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Megan said she’s not going to ‘hold back’ when it comes to her outfit choices feels confident in her image as a music artist.
Megan said: ‘I’m not going to hold back. I know what I like and I know the image I want as an artist so I’m going to stick to my guns and wear what I feel is right.

‘When I’m on stage I obviously like to wear a little bit more as it is a show. There are no feathers this week though! With my style I have already pulled away from the Essex thing.’
She added: ‘I didn’t take it to heart. I took it as a positive. If not liking my outfit was the only thing Simon didn’t like about my performance I thought “wow, he must have liked my song!”
‘I really like Simon so there’s no hard feelings there. He is the top of the top. There’s no one above Simon to me.’

After Megan performed in a sparkly bodysuit with white feathers last week, Simon said: ‘Love the song, hate the outfit.

‘It’s so distracting and it reminds everyone of you being a reality star. And I know you want to move away from that.

She told MailOnline: ‘I have stripped back with loads of things, my hair, my make-up, my lips, right down to my clothes. I feel less is more.
‘I know I dress up for stage but that’s a different story, if you see me in my day to day clothes, I am on a much different vibe to what I used to be.’
