Matthew Perry has told David Beckham that he has “good taste” in clothing – “whoever he is”.
After the former footballer, 45, sported a Friends-themed T-shirt bought for him by his son Cruz, Matthew, 50, felt compelled to compliment the star.
In recent days, David shared a photo of himself out for a walk with wife Victoria.
The wholesome snapshot saw him sport a black top emblazoned with an image from the classic Friends episode The One Where No One’s Ready.
The iconic scene sees Chandler Bing looking on in disgust as Joey Tribbiani lunges while wearing all of the contents of the characters wardrobe.
David’s t-shirt even features the famous line: “Could I be wearing any more clothes?”
Upon discovering the footballer’s ensemble, the former Friends star made it his business to reach out to Dave by re-posting the epic snap.
Alongside the image of Posh and Becks enjoying their summer evening walk, Matthew penned: “This guy has really good taste. Whoever that is.”
Not understanding his sarcasm, fans soon flooded Matthew’s page to tell him it was superstar David Beckham.
“Guys, I know who it is! I was just joking,” he reassured them.
Not letting his dad take all the credit, David and Victoria’s son Cruz, 15, also flocked to the comment section to tell the Friends star that he had bought the merchandise.
“Guess who bought him the shirt,” he insisted before Becks added: “Yes @cruzbeckham got me the shirt but could I be wearing anymore clothes?”
The unlikely bromance comes after fashion designer Victoria roasted her husband for his choice of clothing.
While his t-shirt went down a treat with admirers, Posh appeared to take issue with Becks’ choice of necklace.
Victoria peeked at the side of him and gave a slight grin while wearing a dark cap and baggy black top.
“Afternoon walk @victoriabeckham,” Dave captioned the shot.
The Spice Girl turned fashion designer quickly clapped back: “Nice necklace, super bold!”
The couple’s cute outing came days after the glamorous star was slammed by followers who speculated that Victoria might have broken lockdown rules.
Posh had taken to social media to promote a beauty fad, but eagle-eyed fans noticed her perfect manicure and lighter hair, leading some to assume she had enjoyed a beauty salon trip.
