Married At First Sight: Jessika Power says Connie was FORCED to stay in the experiment

Ex-Married At First Sight star Jessika Power accuses producers of FORCING Connie Crayden to stay in the experiment against her will

Former Married At First Sight star Jessika Power has come out swinging at the show that made her famous.

In an interview with New Idea on Thursday, she accused the producers of forcing Connie Crayden to vote stay at Wednesday’s commitment ceremony.

Jessika, 27, said she didn’t buy Connie’s reasoning, which she compared to ‘one of the stupid excuses [she] made up on the couch’ last season.

She added: ‘Was that a producer-fed comment because they need you guys to stay in the experiment?’

An emotional Connie elected to stay with ‘husband’ Jonethen Musulin at the commitment ceremony on Wednesday, despite him telling her the night before he wasn’t attracted to her.

As Jonethen announced his decision to leave the experiment for the third week in a row, a distraught Connie excused herself, saying she needed to ‘have a moment’.

After regaining her composure, Connie revealed she had made a ‘very last minute decision’ to stay in the experiment until the end, leaving Jonethen stunned.

Jessika was also surprised by Connie’s decision, which made her think there was some outside interference.

‘Jonethen has made it very clear to Connie he’s not attracted to her. He doesn’t want to be with her. He’s asked to leave the experiment and she continues to keep him there,’ she said, pointing out the absurdity of the situation.

Jessika argued that Connie was wasting everybody’s time, especially given the fact it’s obvious she won’t have a lasting relationship with Jonethen.

For all these reasons, she believes that Connie was simply doing what the producers had told her by voting to stay.

Jessika concluded: ‘You’re a really, really great girl, and you have so many good qualities. You’ll be able to find somebody on the outside.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.
