Madonna wears eye patch and red lipstick for Today show appearance… as mom of six says: ‘The more kids you have, the better you get at being a parent’

Her new album – her 14th studio album – called Madame X, is set to debut on Friday.

And on Thursday, Madonna sat down with Today Show‘s Harry Smith to talk about her new music – but also motherhood. 

The 60-year-old singer, who donned an eye with an X in silver embellishments, said ‘The more kids that you have, the better you get at being a parent.’

Madonna’s Today Show interview will air on Friday, June 14.

On having six children has influenced her, Madonna told Harry: ‘Its reminded how precious time is and how each child requires attention and vigilance and guidance in a different way.’

She added: ‘And really you have to be ready for anything.’ 

Harry asked the icon: ‘Is there a moment when your creative juices aren’t churning?’ 

She answered: ‘No, because even being a mother requires creativity, even making the bed requires creativity.’

Madonna said: ‘It’s like everything. the more songs I write, the better I get as a songwriter.’ 

Harry asked if she needs to have more kids to which the artist said: ‘Not right this second. But never say never.’

Madonna is mom to six kids: ‘Lourdes, 22; Rocco, 18; David, 13; Mercy, 13; and six-year-old twins Stelle and Estere.

Madonna sported her signature eye patch – which is her Madame X alter ego, with bold lipstick and a chic bun.

She wore a silver and black sequin dress with netted tights, adding patent black boots.

Madame X, her 14th studio album, will debut Friday; her first single Medellin was released in April.
