Love Island SPOILER: Sophie BREAKS DOWN as Shaughna slams her

Things got tense in the Love Island villa on Wednesday night, when Sophie and Leanne fought tooth and nail to save themselves from dumping.

And while it was the latter who was left devastated to be going, there was devastation remaining in the villa as Sophie is seen to lock horns with Shaughna in scenes set to air of Thursday evening’s show.

The straight-talking star, who is paired with Callum, corners Rochelle Humes’ sister, whose partner Connor Durman was kicked off the island last week, for a chat in which she is seen to break down over her harsh words.

When Sophie was ultimately saved by Mike, Shaughna said: ‘I’d have felt terrible seeing Demi go compared to you, because that would have been unfair.’

Viewers of Love Island were left unimpressed by Sophie and Leanne as they attempted to ‘manipulate’ Nas into choosing them, over new girl Demi.

The men of the villa were tasked with selecting one woman to re-couple with – Nas hitting it off with Demi after struggling to connect with anyone else so far.

Yet Sophie and Leanne seemed more concerned with their own interests, hinting to Nas that he should couple up with one of them out of loyalty, rather than give himself a stab at romance.

Sophie’s partner Connor had left the villa two days earlier, leaving her single, while Leanne had broken things off with Mike the day before. This meant both girls – who were original contestants when it debuted two weeks ago – were vulnerable.

Before the recoupling, Leanne said to both Nas and her ‘ex’ Mike: ‘I would love to stay. But I would never ever in a million years tell you to pick me over a potential. You don’t have to feel stressed over the decision.’

‘We both want to be here but we don’t want to be here on the expense of you chucking something away for us.’

Elsewhere, Leanne hit out at Mike for choosing Sophie and insisted her former flame has zero chance with her pal.

Speaking to RadioTimes.com, Leanne hit out: ‘Oh, be serious. There’s absolutely no way! I think they’re just good friends and they’re in a friendship couple.’

Moments before the recoupling, Leanne called it quits with the police officer as she got the ‘ick’ and didn’t want to be romantic with him.

Although she wasn’t surprised the hunk dumped her from the villa, the beauty did think it was a ‘bold move’ to move onto her friend.

She added: ‘I was 100 per cent expecting it. I just knew I was going home. Me and Mike, we didn’t work. I feel he’s justified in what he did by picking Sophie. That’s a big thing to do – it’s a bold move to make.’

And the shock dumping proved to her that she made the right choice to end her romance with Mike as she described his actions as a ‘kick in the teeth’.

She continued: ‘I feel like he’s disregarded the two weeks we spent together and I feel like sending me home was a bit of a kick in the teeth, but it might also be my karma for dumping him.

‘Beforehand, we had a good connection as friends, I would have thought he would have had that loyalty with me more. But he can crack on and I’m happy for him, I want him to be happy.’
