Maura Higgins’ mother, Sharon, has sparked a feud with her Love Island daughter’s ex Paul Caslin and his family after claiming he cheated on her daughter.
Maura, 28, is currently flirting up a storm with Tommy on the show but her mother claims she’s previously suffered a broken engagement, as well as Paul’s infidelity.
However, 36-year-old Paul’s family told MailOnline she’s not telling the truth, claiming, ‘he’s not the type’ to do such a thing.

Echoing Sharon’s words that Paul wasn’t the guy Maura was previously engaged to, his father, James, 66, said his son has good morals.
He said of the TV director, who is now based in LA: ‘He’s not cheated – he’s not the type. Paul’s not with her and wasn’t engaged to her’.
‘If her mother says he’s cheated then that’s fine and that’s the end of it. I don’t know anything about it.’

Paul’s brother Tony, 34, said from the family home in Liverpool: ‘You are listening to stories from someone on a TV show. The stories are a lie.’
Images of Maura’s Depop account came to light while she was on the show and some of the shots showed she listed herself as engaged four years ago.
Sharon confirmed her daughter was once engaged to a man she met when she was a teenager but she is completely single now.
She told the Longford Leader: ‘Maura was in a nine-year relationship and she got engaged to that guy and that just fizzled out.’

Sharon pushed: ‘She was never engaged to [Paul]. She was only with him a short while and what happened was he cheated on her.’
Friday night’s episode of the show is only set to be more explosive as a teaser shows the Irish beauty continuing to rile co-star Molly-Mae amid their battle for hunky Tommy’s affections in an increasingly dramatic take-down.
As the couple took to the day-bed for a chat, the seductive stunner asked Tommy: ‘Does she turn you on like I do?’ before asking for a kiss.
