Louise Redknapp has spoken openly about the breakdown of her marriage to former footballer Jamie, who has just married his pregnant partner Frida Andersson

Louise Redknapp ‘s pals say she’s “struggling” with regret following ex-husband Jamie’s marriage to pregnant partner Frida Andersson.

The former footballer recently tied the knot with the Swedish model, who is expecting their first child together.

Friends of former Eternal singer Louise, 46, say she knew about the wedding as her sons Charles, 17, and Beau, 12, would be attending to watch their dad tie the knot, but that she’s “struggling” with regret about the end of her 19-year marriage.

In her autobiography You’ve Got This, Louise blamed taking part in Strictly Come Dancing for her split.

She wrote: “If I’d done the show four years earlier, this wouldn’t have happened. I wouldn’t have walked away from my marriage.”

She added that the show “simply wasn’t worth putting anyone I loved or love through the heartache”.

She penned: “I still wish I’d done things differently because I feel like I hurt a lot of people and I’ll always be sorry for that.”

An insider says that Louise was “shocked” by Jamie’s new marriage.

A source told New magazine: “She didn’t have time to prepare because Jamie wanted to be married before the baby was born.”

They added: “It’s very mixed emotions for her. In one respect she’s happy for him and she knows they have to move on, but part of her is finding it very tough because the family’s adjusting, there’s someone new and there’s going to be a baby.

“It’s difficult because she’s spoken openly about her regret. She’s blamed Strictly but you can’t turn the clock back.”

The Mirror has contacted Louise’s representatives for comment.

Jamie and Frida tied the knot five months after announcing they had a baby on the way.

Frida is already a mum, sharing four kids with her ex-husband Jonathan Lourie, an American hedge fund manager.

As Jamie and Frida’s baby news was shared in May, a source said: “Jamie and Frida are absolutely delighted.

“They’ve been virtually inseparable in lockdown, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength.

“The couple started telling their nearest and dearest last week. Jamie’s been telling pals he’s really excited to be a dad again — less excited about the sleepless nights, and ­nappy-changing.”

They married at Chelsea Registry Office with Jamie’s parents Harry and Sandra Redknapp and big brother Mark in attendance, as well as famous faces including fellow football star Frank Lampard and his wife Christine.
