Liam Hemsworth ‘cancels Killerman promo’ after Miley Cyrus split: ‘He’s not in right head space’

Liam Hemsworth has reportedly cancelled promo for his new movie Killerman as he’s ‘not in the right headspace’ after his split from Miley Cyrus.

The Hunger Games actor, who’s starring in the drama which is set for release later this month, was said to be planning to go full force into promoting the flick.

But his plans apparently changed after his split from Miley earlier this month.

‘He is not coming to LA for Killerman anymore even though he had told the film executives that he loved the movie and wanted to go full force into promoting it,’ an insider told MailOnline.

They added that there were plans to make the premiere a big deal in Hollywood, with Miley supporting her husband on the red carpet, and his celeb pals and family also coming out in force.

However, ‘Liam has just been off the grid and Killerman was put on the back burner as he has fought to save his marriage,’ the source added.

‘He is now not in the right head space to step back into the limelight to do any promotion as he knows Miley’s name will come up.’

A spokesman for Blue Fox Entertainment told DailyMail.com: ‘While we obviously hoped Liam would be available to travel from Australia to LA to do some press and promo for the film, his availability was never confirmed and therefore, no junket or premiere was ever officially planned. Any story saying Liam canceled press is inaccurate.’

Miley and Liam’s reps confirmed their split earlier this month, telling People: ‘Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.

‘Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers.’

The Wrecking Ball singer has since been seen locking lips with Brody Jenner’s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter during a holiday in Italy, while Liam is staying in Australia for now.

However, earlier this year, Miley was spotted visiting the set to support her husband as he took on the ‘tough role’ for the movie.

Killerman’s costume designer, Whitney Anne Adams, exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘She came a couple of times, it was great because I’d actually worked with her before on the TV show Maya and Marty, it was before I’d met Liam.

‘It was fun that I’d already worked with Miley before I worked with Liam. I’ve gotten to work with both of them and they’re absolutely wonderful and very professional.’

Whitney added of Miley: ‘Completely supportive.’
