Laura Whitmore cradles newborn baby in sweet snap after giving birth to daughter

Laura Whitmore gave her fans a heartwarming insight into life as a new parent as she shared sweet mother-and-daughter moment on social media.

The Love Island host, 35, and husband Iain Stirling became parents for the first time, with loved-up couple welcoming a newborn baby into the world.

The pair, who have yet to reveal the name they have chosen for the new arrival, enjoyed their first Easter as a family of three over the weekend.

Laura took to Instagram to post a sweet snap of her ‘Easter chick’ dressed in a lemon yellow outfit and matching baby bonnet.

It comes after Laura posted the first image of her newborn baby girl last week and told the world the couple were “in love”.

She wrote: “Thanks for all the kind messages at this time. We are in love x.”

It is not known exactly when Laura welcomed their little girl into the world.

However, we do know Stacey Dooley stepped into the Irish presenter’s shoes on Sunday for her usual presenting slot on BBC Radio 5.

The Love Island host made the revelation she was having a baby girl in her new self-help book No One Can Change Your Life Except for You.

She wrote: “As I finish this book, it doesn’t end at chapter nine, there’s a new chapter coming into my life – in the form of a baby girl currently growing inside me and that scares the s**t out of me.

“I once swallowed a bug and freaked out there was a live bug inside me.

“A live human is a whole new level of freaking out but I am excited because there’s a lot of good in the world, there’s a lot of potential.”

Lorraine Kelly appeared to accidentally let slip the gender of Laura’s unborn bay at the time during an interview to promote the book.

She said: “Now this book has come from personal experience, it’s lessons that you’ve learned along the way isn’t it?

“And also, advice that you want to pass on to your baby girl.”

Laura paused for a few seconds before answering live on-air.

She said: “Yeah… well to my baby, erm, yeah it wasn’t necessarily written when I knew I was pregnant so it’s not about pregnancy, I’ll tell you that now, but there’s lot of things in there that I’ve picked up over the years.”
