Kendall Jenner finally confirmed that she’s been watching Caitlyn Jenner living it up in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle by sharing a clip of her dad hanging out with Nadine Coyle on Instagram.
The Kardashians and Jenners had been called out for not publicly showing support for the Olympian since she went Down Under, but after Kim Kardashian posted to Twitter just days ago, Kendall also decided it was time to acknowledge the show.
Addressing her followers about Caitlyn’s stint on the ITV reality series, Kendall wrote: ‘Always rooting for you. Strongest person on the [planet].
‘Just cuz I’m not posting doesn’t mean I’m not supporting. I love my dad! Everyone chill.’
But according to communications expert Judi James, this might be the model’s first and last say on the matter.
‘I would say she sounds annoyed by fans speculating and the tone of the whole thing did sound a bit final, as though she might have said her bit rather doing on-going postings,’ Judie exclusively told Metro.co.uk.
However, Judi pointed out that of course, social media posts are open to interpretation.
Analysing Kendall’s post, Judi continued: ‘There appear to be two messages here: One for Caitlyn, which is a very concise message of support, plus a second message aimed directly at the fans which does sound rather annoyed in tone.
‘The phrase “always rooting for you” is worded to sound as though this is a life thing rather than just a jungle thing, as the wording for support during a show is more likely to have been “I’m rooting for you in there”, so this and the “strongest person on this planet” sounds like years of admiration.’
She added: ‘Her mini telling-off to the fans about “Everyone chill” suggests she’s been reading hurtful online comments and is wanting to fight back.
‘Her phrase “I love my dad” should have been superfluous as this would surely be a given, but there’s been some hurtful speculation on social media that she wants to correct.’
Caitlyn made it clear when she first headed into the I’m A Celebrity jungle that her famous brood was aware of her appearance.
Her youngest daughter, Kylie, has not yet commented publicly about her dad’s time on the show.
