KELLY Clarkson was slammed for making the “biggest mistake” of the season on The Voice after she eliminated the “clear winner” of the competition, Tayler Green.
The New Jersey singer-songwriter, 27, was sent home by the Stronger pop star, 37, despite receiving a standing ovation from every coach after her rendition of Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.

Tayler performed against fellow Team Kelly singer Micah Iverson, 25, who was criticized for choosing the song Graveyard by Halsey during part two of the knockout battle.
Blake Shelton – who admitted he “rarely” gets up to clap – gave Tayler a standing O and complimented her vocal range.
John Legend, 41, and Nick Jonas, 27, praised Tayler for being a real “star” and advised Kelly to pick her over Micah.
After their performances, Kelly delayed making the call for several minutes due to the “impossible” task.

“This is a really big deal and I have to make the right choice here,” she said to host Carson Daly, 46, after she admitted to being “torn.”
“I have to go with my gut feeling. The winner of this knockout is Micah,” the Piece by Piece songwriter said with a sigh.
Micah looked completely stunned when he heard his name and shared a hug with his competitor.
Fans of the show immediately expressed their outrage on social media for the shocking decision.
“Kelly, you are getting ridiculous now. There’s no way that kid was better. You pulled this crap last week too. Stop with the strategy and reward the better performance,” someone tweeted.

Another fired off: “Kelly you left me frozen. Where is your talent. Freaking wrong. Ashamed of all the respect I used to feel for you.”
“massive mistake. What is the point of a knockout if one of the artists CLEARLY wins and you still send her home based off of the other guys older performances?
“You should’ve just canceled it and not let them sing in that case. Sad,” someone wrote.
Some viewers felt the color of Tayler’s skin was cause for Kelly’s decision.
One Twitter user said: “She know America will not vote for a black girl. She choose Micah for vote. Sad!”

Kelly angered fans earlier this season when she acted stunned a contestant she pushed her button for turned out to be “white” during the blind auditions.
The talk show host turned around shocked and speechless during Zach Day’s bluesy performance in February.
She exclaimed: “Woah! You’re white! Like I would have lost a lot of money man!”
A fan who questioned the comment wrote: “You’re white”???’ Really Kelly Clarkson and what is black supposed to sound like?? Wtf!?”
“Kelly Clarkson is rapidly turning into Paula Deen,” one fan wrote as a reference to the controversial Food Network chef.
