And on Friday, Kat Von D, 37, and her husband Rafael Reyes, 43, bundled up their pride and joy, Leafar,aged five months, for a family outing in New York City.
With all three wearing black, the family stayed close to each other while crossing the bustling street.

Kat was nicely styled as she wore a long black coat and paired it with Alo leggings.
Her makeup was done up with a deep red lip color and long winged eyeliner.
Clinging to her man, the tattoo artist looked excited to be spending some quality time with him and the baby.
Rafael, who’s credited with creating the Cholo goth genre of music, matched his wife in a black leather jacket with white graffiti lettering on the back.

He held little Leafar in his arms, clutching him tightly between his jacket flaps.
The little guy was also all bundled up in black, wearing a puffy jacket as he peered out from over his dad’s shoulder.
Earlier in the year, Kat revealed to her 7.3million Instagram followers that she had previously suffered two miscarriages before welcoming Leafar.

In recent times Kat has also come under fire after she claimed in June that she would be raising her son a ‘vegan’ and ‘without vaccinations’.
Taking to YouTube earlier in the month, she set the record straight hat she was ‘not anti-vaxxer’.
In the 11 minute video, she confessed she was uninformed yet a research ‘nerd’ at the time but did not say whether she had chosen to vaccinate Leafar.

‘I am not an anti-vaxxer; what I am is a first-time mother. I’m one of those moms that reads everything. I read everything from ingredients in foods to cleaning supplies to medicines – basically, anything that is going in my baby or on my baby. I research like a complete and total nerd,’ she said.
‘After doing a bunch of research and reading the ingredients [of vaccines], naturally, I experienced some hesitancy. If I would’ve known that I would’ve let so many people down with that, I would’ve never ever shared where we were at with it at that time,’ she continued.
‘Since then, we have decided as parents to consult with our pediatrician and just let him educate us and guide us. I am choosing not to make our decision – or any of our baby’s health records – public.’
