Joe Lycett has offered to look after any children of political advisers after Dominic Cummings drove to Durham to see his family despite national lockdown rules.

The comedian must have felt extremely generous and offered ‘child support’ at his home in Birmingham since it’s a lot closer to London than County Durham.

In classic Lycett fashion, the 31-year-old filled in a form with the Prime Minister’s Office and we’re appreciating the dedication.

‘Hi babe i’m in brum so if any more of your advisors get sick and need child support i’m happy to have them and i’m approx 150 miles closer to london than County Durham,’ the star propositioned.

Joe’s statement was a jab at Boris Johnson’s adviser Dominic Cummings, who defied lockdown rules on two occasions by travelling from London to Durham.

According to a statement from 10 Downing Street said his wife had coronavirus symptoms and he feared contracting it, too.

Government officials defended the politician and claimed the trip was necessary as he needed to secure childcare.

No need to secure childcare when Joe’s got your back.

He captioned his post on Instagram: ‘Doing my bit.’

Joe – who once changed his name to Hugo Boss to protest the fashion house – and his offers impressed fans, who praised him for basically doing God’s work.

One person wrote: ‘Awesome, but should we be concerned about the children?! ?’

‘?????????????? I’m going to clap for you every Monday at 10.27, hero,’ another proposed a designated clapping schedule.
