Jeremy McConnell has revealed he is set to become a father to a baby girl and has gushed that having a daughter will allow him to love a child unlike ever before.
The 29-year-old reality star is expecting his first child with girlfriend Katie McCreath – and his first ever daughter.
Over the weekend, Jez and his beloved gathered together their nearest and dearest to reveal the gender of their future child.
And taking to social media, the pair welcomed fans and followers to learn the news – with photos and videos galore being shared online.
There were cakes galore and plenty of teasing as to whether the duo would be parents to a boy or a girl – until the big reveal: “Baby girl expected in December.”
Creating a video after the news was made public, Jeremy explained that he was excited to be a dad again.
“I just want to say a massive thank you for all of your love and support,” he said as he created video of himself laying in bed while Katie stroked his chest.
“We’ve known for a while now that we’re expecting a beautiful baby girl. Today was just something for our close family and friends to kind of get involved in,” he said.
“We’re so excited. And we can’t wait to share our journey with all of you,” he added.
While spirits were evidently high, Jeremy also took a moment to turn the tone slightly more sombre as he shared a photo of his late mother – who died when he was just a boy himself.
“Wish you could have been here today, I’m going to get the chance to show the love you showed me finally,” he wrote as he shared a picture of his mum.
The Celebrity Big Brother is already a father to two-year-old Caben Albi from a previous high profile relationship with actress Stephanie Davis.
The pair had a rocky, on-off romance after meeting in Celebrity Big Brother in 2015 – with Jeremy later being found guilty of assaulting the actress in August 2017.
Jeremy has had a tragic family history of his own with his mother, sister and brother all dying within 15 months of each other when he was a teen – and then his father died in 2017.
