Jamie Redknapp’s new wife Frida has changed her surname to Redknapp on Instagram just hours after marrying the former footballer in a low-key ceremony at Chelsea Registry office
Jamie Redknapp ‘s new wife Frida has changed her name on Instagram.
The former footballer tied the knot with his model girlfriend on Monday at a surprise ceremony at Chelsea registry office and just hours later, Frida switched her name on social media.
The blonde model – who is expecting her and Jamie’s first child – had previously her name listed as Frida Andersson using the handle @frida_andersson_lourie.
However, she’s now listed on the site as @frida_redknapp.
The pair were joined by Jamie’s father Harry Redknapp and his wife Sandra as well as Jamie’s brother Mark as they married earlier this week in Chelsea.
A host of close family and friends – including television presenter Christine Lampard and her husband Frank Lampard – joined them for a reception at the luxurious Scott’s in Mayfair later that evening.
Writing alongside the photo, he shared: “Celebrating with friends and family for Jamie and Frida’s wedding.
“What a day we had sharing your special day.”
News of the marriage broke when the couple were seen leaving the venue, with Jamie wearing a navy blue suit while his bride showed off her growing baby bump in a stunning white gown with an elegant bardot neckline.
Jamie has been dating Frida since 2019 and their first child is due in November. He is already a dad to Charley, 17, and Beau, 12 – with his ex wife Louise Redknapp – and Frida has four children from her marriage to Jonathan Lourie.
Harry previously revealed to The Mirror that he was “very excited” about Jamie and Frida’s baby news, joking he will have his “hands full” even more so as a grandfather now.
He said: “We’re very excited. Jamie is very happy and Frida is happy. We’re lucky that Jamie has two boys already, Charley and Beau, and our other son Mark has five children, so this will be grandchild number eight. We’ve got our hands full!”
However, the couple won’t be confirming the gender of their baby before it arrives.
“They’re going to keep it a secret,” Harry added.
