‘I feel the love’ Bob Odenkirk sends message to fans after suffering ‘small heart attack’

The American actor, known for his performance in the hit AMC TV series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, was rushed to hospital earlier this week after collapsing on set. Sending a message to his fans on Twitter, Mr Odenkirk, 58, thanked everyone for their support in this trying time.

He wrote: “Hi. It’s Bob.

“Thank you.

“To my family and friends who have surrounded me this week.

“And for the outpouring of love from everyone who expressed concern and care for me. It’s overwhelming.

“But I feel the love and it means so much.”

Mr Odenkirk collapsed on the New Mexico set on July 27 and later confirmed to be in a “stable condition” by his son Nate.

Sources told TMZ the Breaking Bad spin-off star had collapsed “mid-scene”, prompting crew members to call the emergency services.

Mr Odenkirk continued: “I had a small heart attack.

“But I’m going to be ok thanks to Rosa Estrada and the doctors who knew how to fix the blockage without surgery.

Following the news of his hospitalisation, friends, co-stars and fans flooded social media with well-wishes.

Mr Odenkirk’s Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston, shared a throwback photo on Instagram and wrote to his fans to send their prayers.

He penned: “Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning.

“My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul.

“He is in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving the medical attention he needs but his condition is not known to the public as yet.

“Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.”
