CHRISTMAS is one of the most expensive times of the year to travel as for many it’s the one time of the year they get to see their loved ones.
And if yours live far away, the cost could mean you don’t get to see them during the festive period.

Fortunately, this year, you can get free flights home for Christmas from British Airways.
The airline has teamed up with The Points Guy UK to fly you to any of the BA destinations, and there are two sets of return tickets up for grabs.
One winner will get short-haul flights within Europe, where you’ll get to travel in business class and enjoy champagne at the front of the plane.
The second ticket is long-haul, and you’ll get to travel in premium economy where there’s a bit more leg room.
You can fly out any time between December 9 and December 23 this year, and return within a month.
To be in with a chance of winning, you just have to tag @thepointsguyuk in a post on Instagram using the hashtag #FlyMeHome.
In your post, you’ll need to explain where you need to go and why you deserve to be the lucky winner.
You’ll also need to be over 18 and follow @thepointsguyuk account so they can contact you if you win.

If you miss out the flights this time, it’s worth bearing in mind that you might be able to get return flights with BA for just £1.
And if you’re flexible with when you can travel, leaving just after New Year’s Eve and during January is one of the cheapest times of the year to get away.
