How can I find the opening hours for my local Home Bargains store this Easter weekend?

Closing times can vary from shop to shop, so it’s always important to check your local branch.

You can do this by using the store locator tool on Home Bargains’ website.

The bargain shop chain has more than 500 stores across the UK.

What are Home Bargains’ Easter 2020 opening and closing hours?

Home Bargains stores are typically open 8am to 8pm every day, but the retailer has warned some shop hours may be temporarily altered due to the coronavirus crisis.

It hasn’t yet confirmed its Easter opening hours, but we found the below opening times listed for a majority of its stores.

  • Good Friday, April 10: 8am – 6pm
  • Saturday, April 11: 8am – 8pm
  • Easter Sunday, April 12: CLOSED
  • Easter Monday, April 13: 8am – 6pm

Home Bargains is also prioritising the first opening hour for vulnerable and elderly customers, so keep this in mind before heading down.

The Sun has asked Home Bargains whether it has closed any stores due to the coronavirus, but we haven’t heard back yet.

Can I order online?

Home Bargains usually offers home delivery, but it’s currently suspended new orders.

A statement on its website said: “Due to high demand, online orders are currently taking longer to get to you than usual.

“Because of these delays we have temporarily suspended accepting new online orders.

“We will be back accepting new orders soon. Our stores remain open to serve our communities.”

Home Bargains charges £3.49 to deliver small items or £7.99 for large products.

Delivery on orders over £50 is free.

When are the Easter holidays 2020?

Unlike Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day which all fall on fixed dates, Easter can be any time between March 22 and April 25.

In 2020 it falls on Sunday, April 12.

Good Friday is therefore April 10, and the Easter Monday bank holiday is on April 13.

The date is decided by a complex set of calculations based on observations of the moon.

Schools usually get around two weeks off for the Easter break, as many kids were set to enjoy their holidays from April 3, and go back on April 20.

But that has all changed due to the coronavirus outbreak, with all schools currently shut until after the Easter festivities.

And they may not even return until after the summer holidays with COVID-19 continuing to plague the UK.

There remain some that still attend school, with children of parents considered key workers still having lessons.

They are expected to get the annual two-week break off, and you can specific dates for your area on your school or council’s website.
