Holly Willoughby in giggles as Phillip Schofield asks Steph and Dom about ‘steaming your noony’ in vagina chat

HOLLY Willoughby and Phillip Schofield burst out laughing while discussing vaginal steaming with Gogglebox legends Steph and Dom on today’s This Morning.

All four were in hysterics during the intimate segment that made reference vaginal steaming advocate Gwyneth Paltrow.

Host Phil couldn’t resist being playful, asking Steph: “Would you steam your noony?”

He then had everyone in stitches when he said: “Gwyneth’s biggest critic Dr Jen Gunther…”

The doctor’s name proved too much for the foursome to take, with Steph’s infectious laugh setting everyone off.

Dom sparked more laughter when he joked Steph would “run a mile if he came at her with a steaming kettle.”

Phillip quipped “wouldn’t we all.”

The steaming process consists of standing, sitting or squatting above a container filled with boiling water and herbs.

The botanicals most commonly used in a vaginal steamer are mugwort, wormwood, chamomile, basil and oregano.

The herb-infused steam is said to have beneficial properties which include relieving stress, infertility, digestive issues, haemorrhoids and hormone imbalances, although there is no concrete evidence of this.

Another element to the vaginal steam is its claim to clean and refresh the vagina, again something which has no conclusive proof.

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow set up her lifestyle blog, Goop, in 2008.

The mum-of-two openly discussed vagina steaming, calling it a ‘v-steam’, on the website.

She wrote in 2015: “You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne, and a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al.

“It is an energetic release – not just a steam douche – that balances female hormone levels.”

She was widely criticised for the article, with health experts questioning the practice and warning women of the risks of steaming their vagina, which could include burns.
