Holidays: Guests fork out up to $35,000 to sit poolside at this exclusive luxury resort

Holidays are a perfect opportunity to unwind in a sunny destination, and Britons are no stranger to the annual holiday. In fact, 86 percent of the nation went on some kind of holiday last year. With rest and relaxation top of the agenda, may tourists are also more willing to spend a little extra to lap up the luxury. However, one hotel in the Bahamas sees customers spending eye-watering amounts simply to sit poolside at one of its opulent themed swimming pools.

Guests can opt for a day bed, which varies in price depending on the size, or an outdoor Pergola.

Although the fee is not necessarily a flat fee, pool attendees are expected to spend a minimum amount on food and beverages to match the price tag associated with their chosen resting spot.

Paul continues: “Daybeds will range $500 to $800 depending on the size of the bed you’re looking to get.

“These pergolas are around $2,000 food and beverage and then the private cabanas are $35,000.

“You have the five lounge chairs on the outside, private bathroom, a kitchen, a living room, flat-screen tv. You have everything in there.”

Set in Nassau, in the Bahamas, Baha Mar is a 1,000-acre resort offering highly luxurious package holidays.

Made up of three Nassau hotels – the Grant Hyatt, SLS and Rosewood, plus an array of amenities it promises to keep every traveller fully occupied during their stay.

Holding up to 7,000 people at any one time, the resort promises to expose guests to five-star treatment under the Caribbean sun.”
