Holidays are guaranteed to look completely different in the future with mandatory masks in some countries and stringent sanitation measures. In fact, France has taken it one step further and is fining anyone seen dropping a face mask on the ground £60. And Cyprus is only letting people enter the island if they are on a list.
For certain, a traveller going to Cambodia will have to spend £106 on a coronavirus test plus food, transportation and hotel costs while waiting.
A coronavirus test costs $100 (£80), the overnight stay will cost $30 (£24) and then $5 (£4) for transport from the airport to a testing centre.
If the test comes back positive, they must then isolate for 14 days in their chosen accommodation.
But it’s not good news if one person on your flight is diagnosed with coronavirus.
Everyone on board that flight has to then be quarantined at a government-approved hotel for two weeks at a cost of $1,176 (£931.06).
The combined cost includes meals and cleaning services plus laundry.
Another coronavirus test will then be added to the total cost.
Anyone diagnosed with coronavirus will have to pay for four coronavirus tests, as well as $3,150 (£2,500) for treatment.
It added: “Anyone testing positive for COVID-19 will be admitted to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital for monitoring and treatment.”
For this reason, the Foreign Office has said that every traveller is required to have medical insurance for a minimum of $50,000.
If the person dies in Cambodia, cremation costs $1,500 (£1,187).
If a traveller wishes to have a coronavirus health certificate, they then have to pay $30 (£23.75) for it.
