Harrison Ford’s eldest son sweetly reveals how actor nurtured his passion for cooking: ‘He helped give me courage to pursue my dreams’
Harrison Ford got a sweet message from his son Ben Ford on Father’s Day.
The 76-year-old received praise from his chef son, 52, on Twitter, giving rare inside into the Star Wars actor’s private life as a family man.
Ben posted a snap of the pair, along with the caption: ‘I love this photo of both of us grilling it up. Metaphorically I think it speaks volumes.
‘My dad or pops (newly adapted) He taught me resiliency as a young father and later helped give me the courage to pursue my dreams. Happy Father’s Day!’

Ben owns restaurants in LA, including the high-end California-Mediterranean Chadwick as well as Ford’s Filling Station.
He is one of Harrison’s five children. The actor shares Ben and daughter Willard, 50, with his first wife Mary Marquardt. The couple split in 1979.
He has two children with Melissa Mathison; son, Malcom, 31, and daughter, Georgia, 28. Mathison was a film and television screenwriter with screenplays for movies like The Black Stallion and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. The two married in 1983 and she filed for divorce in 2001. She passed away in 2015 from neuroendocrine cancer.
The Indiana Jones actor is now married to Calista Flockhart, 54. They share their son Liam, 18, whom Flockhart adopted just one year before the two started dating back in 2002.

Harrison rarely speaks about his family but did recently talk about a skydiving adventure with his youngest son while appearing on Ellen DeGeneres’ show.
Ellen asked why he waited so long to try it out and he said, ‘Probably because Liam said he wanted to do it,’ he explained.
‘But it was fun, it was great. I did like it’
He also added the pair had so much fun they may even go again.

This dad is keeping himself busy with a couple of big projects.
It was recently announced that a new Indiana Jones film would be making its way to screen in 2021 and he just finished up his last movie Call of the Wild set to be released in 2020.
The actor is currently in The Secret Life of Pets 2 (out now) who plays Rooster who helps a Jack Russell terrier overcome his fears.
