Happy Halloween! How are you celebrating the spookiest time of year?
In case you missed it, today is October 31 – or Halloween 2019, to those of us who are fans of things that go bump in the night.
From trick or treating to Halloween parties, it’s the time of year when we can really let our eerie side out.
And none other than Google is jumping aboard the Halloween bandwagon this year, with the tech giant honouring the celebration with their own special interactive Doodle, an especially fun one for all of you animal lovers out there.
The creative minds over at Google have joined forces with the WWF this year to create what they’re calling a “creature feature”, with the Doodle itself being a fun “trick or treat” game containing surprises from animals more commonly associated with scary movies, ghost stories and Halloween.
Users are encouraged to click on the interactive Doodle to play. There are a number of doors for you to choose from, and behind each one different wild animals are lurking – a black jaguar, tarantula, snowy owl, octopus, vampire bat and grey wolf.
Once you click on the door, you have the option of choosing “trick” or “treat”, with your choice either revealing a fun animation (sound is a must for this one) or an interesting fact about the animal in question.
The Doodle, which is running in 40 different countries, will be live for around 24 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the animation.
This isn’t the first time Google has celebrated Halloween, with spooky animations dating all the way back to 1999.
