Hailey Bieber has defended celebrating Halloween while practising her Christian faith.
The model, 22, has claimed that she isn’t ‘afraid of any devil, demon or incantation’ and that she has now ‘re-defined’ Halloween as ‘her own holiday’ and will be ‘claiming all candy for the glory of God and the celebration of the Saints.’
Hailey, who is a regular at the Hillsong Church in LA with husband Justin Bieber, has offered other examples of redefining holidays which are thought to be a pagan practise, referencing All Saints Day as an occasion when the ‘victorious church overcame the blood of the lambs.’

Her lengthy, and passionate, explanation, which she has since deleted, began when a fan asked her on her Instagram Stories: ‘Halloween yes or no.’
Hailey immediately offered a lengthy, and bizarre, rant about the origins of the spooky holiday, revealing: ‘I’m a Christian. Do you have any idea what that means historically? It means I redefine everything in culture.

In the same Instagram story, the blonde continued: ‘I’m not afraid of the world. I’m not afraid of any devil or demon or incantation. They are terrified of me. Halloween is now MY HOLIDAY and I am claiming all candy for the glory of God and the celebration of the Saints.
‘What now? I’ll dress up however I like! My favorite characters, pop culture stuff, whatever. It’s my party and you’re invited. I’m alive today and a Saint tomorrow. Give me candy.’
Hailey was the recipient of criticism last week after she took to Instagram to ask her followers what she should dress up as for Halloween.

In screenshots captured by Twitter user @portalbaldwin and reported by multiple news outlets, one follower responded to Baldwin’s request by asking, ‘Aren’t u Christian?’
‘Yes. I still dress up for Halloween,’ the model wrote back.
She responded to another message that called her a ‘FAKE CHRISTIAN,’ with ‘our kids are gonna celebrate too,’ referring to the kids she’s planning on having with her husband Justin.
The duo, who got their marriage license from a New York City courthouse last year, met in 2009 after her dad, Stephen Baldwin, introduced them.
They got engaged in July 7, 2018 and got re-married in an extravagant wedding in South Carolina on September 30 in front of 154 guests.
