Elsewhere in the world, another oddity was spotted from above by an eagle-eyed viewer, though this time in Beijing.
When the camera was pulled back to reveal an aerial view of the entire city, an weird, blue presence appears to be hovering over large sections of the city.
The user posted their finding to Reddit, explaining that even when they zoomed in to Streetview, the blue did not vanish.
Instead, it appears to be a form of “tarp” draped over various areas.
They wrote: “Large areas around Beijing are covered with what appears to be turquoise tarps. They appear all over, spanning entire suburb-sized swaths of land. They don’t appear to be localised to agricultural land; I’ve found several between roadways, condo buildings, etc.”
