Gerry Cinnamon to play stadium show at Hampden in front of 50,000 fans

Glaswegian phenomenon Gerry Cinnamon has yet again stunned the music industry with a surprise stadium show at Hampden.

The shock announcement came as the cult hero works his way through a sold-out UK arena tour which saw all 125,000 tickets fly out in advance.

He will play to more than 50,000 fans on July 18, 2020, at Hampden Park – previously scene to shows from the Stone Roses, Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Oasis and Bruce Springsteen.

It will be the biggest show of his career and a real statement of just how big his famous “bonny” is burning.

Gerry said: “Hampden Park in the sunshine. New album under my belt. We’ll have that place rocking easy”.

That new album, The Bonny, is out on April 10 on his own label Little Runaway.

Gerry Cinnamon performs at TRNSMT in Glasgow and now he is heading to Hampden Park

It follows Erratic Cinematic, his phenomenal debut which has been certified Gold with over 125,000 sales and 115million Spotify plays.

His new single Sun Queen went straight to No1 in the official vinyl sales chart and next song Dark Days is already looking set to follow suit.

The Hampden move is a massive leap even for an act who has rocketed from unknown to stardom purely on the strength of word of mouth from his fans.

He pulled the biggest crowds of the weekend at TRNSMT in 2018 and 2019, and fans can see him at sold out SSE Hydro dates on December 20 and 21.

Fans who pre-order The Bonny from  https://www.gerrycinnamonmusic.com/  will receive access to a pre-sale for tickets to the Hampden Park show.

The ticket pre-sale opens at 9am on Wednesday November 13 and remains open until the general sale commences at 9am on Friday November 15 from  www.gigsinscotland.com
