A FURIOUS mum has slammed Jet2 after finding loose wiring, a broken shower as well as a sharp axe and utility knife in her holiday villa.
Laura Broughton made the horrifying discovery after checking into the Turkish villa with her partner and four young children.

She said her daughter discovered the knife in a cupboard while Laura found the axe in one of the kitchen cupboards.
To add to their serious safety concerns, Laura and her partner Simon McCormack also found loose lighting fixtures and a pool manhole with no cover.
The family, from Nottingham, were staying at the Villa Nurhan in Dalyan in the south-west of the country.
She complained on Jet2.com’s Facebook page: “We entered the villa with four young children eager to explore.
“My seven-year-old daughter came running out of her bedroom with a blade bearing Stanley knife.
“The manhole to the pool exposed with no cover, bare wires on most of the electrical points and lights hanging from the ceilings! Showers hanging off of the walls.”

She added: “We then discovered in a low kitchen cupboard that there was an axe placed that was accessible to everyone including our children, we couldn’t believe our eyes.”
After complaining, the family were relocated to another villa.
But they claim this only happened because of the help of an “external rep” and not Jet2 holidays.
Laura wrote: “Unhappy is an understatement.
“[If] it was not for Carole, we would have been stuck in a dangerous villa with a potential fatality as you can clearly see from the pictures attached!”

On its website, Jet2 Villas describe the accommodation as “bright and airy” with “immaculately kept gardens.”
Fellow social media users reacted with concern to her post.
Jill Castledine commented: “Omg how they do that to people knowing children are going to be there. Sue them babes big massive hugs.”
Lucy Menezes added: “Omg babe that’s disgusting.”
And Nathan Smith said: “Love how they provided you with an axe. Looks like a safehouse! Glad you got it sorted.”
Jet2 have since apologised for the incident.
A Jet2 spokeswoman said: “We apologise to the Broughton family for any inconvenience caused.
“Customer service is of the upmost importance to us and they have been moved to a different villa. We hope they enjoy the rest of their holiday.”
A couple were left stunned when their beautiful Jet2 hotel room was a “dingy broom cupboard”.
