Passengers on the flight from China were told to remain seated after landing as masked officers sprayed the plane.
They were also given a health department coronavirus information leaflet advising on how to protect themselves from the virus.
Experts have said masks will not help prevent people from getting the virus. “Handwashing is more effective than face masks with this particular virus, particularly if you’re not infected,” said Dr Sohail Ghandi, president of the Ontario Medical Association, told Canadian site CP24.
