Ferne McCann felt like she was ‘robbed’ of a normal pregnancy after ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins was arrested for an acid attack.

The 29-year-old discovered she was pregnant with daughter Sunday shortly before Arthur was arrested for the nightclub attack in 2017.

He is now serving a 20-year sentence for it.

Speaking on the Happy Mum, Happy baby podcast, the Towie star said: ‘My first experience of a pregnancy, and everything you think an ideal pregnancy would be, was robbed from me.’

In April that year, people at the Mangle nightclub in East London felt acid being thrown across the dance floor before they screamed in horror and rushed to escape.

Around 600 partygoers were escaping and 14 people were injured.

Arthur was found at a house in Northants where he jumped from a first-floor window as police chased after him, breaking bones in both his feet.

Discussing her child, Ferne added: ‘She was a lovely surprise… I’m quite spiritual anyway but they are such a blessing, they are so meant to be.

‘Without getting too cringe and deep, this is what life wants to happen.’

Meanwhile, Ferne has found love again but is keeping him under wraps.

‘I’m dating someone new and he’s really cool. It’s really looking promising,’ she revealed.

‘I was talking to five different guys and now I’ve met someone who I think is very special. I’ve actually known him for a very long time.’

However, before you start trying to figure out who her mystery man is, she admitted she won’t be unveiling him anytime soon – as she doesn’t want to pile the pressure on.

‘I’m not going to say too much at this stage, because I want to give this new romance a chance. The minute I say who it is, it turns into a big deal and puts way too much pressure on things,’ she continued.
